Volunteer

The staff and volunteers of The Community Kitchen work every day in this vital service to help people facing food insecurity – not getting enough to eat.

The Community Kitchen could use more volunteers, whether it is an individual, a group of neighbors or members of an organization. We truly are thankful for every person who volunteers. We couldn’t do it without you!

The Community Kitchen has been serving the Monadnock Region for 40 years. It’s a monumental task that involves coordinating with staff, volunteers and food suppliers. There is a heavy demand for their services – at least one in ten people in Cheshire County go hungry every day.

Join our force of Volunteers

At The Community Kitchen, our vibrant community of dedicated volunteers is the heartbeat of our mission. We warmly welcome new volunteers to join us in making a positive impact.

Scheduling Information: While we’re fortunate to have an abundance of committed volunteers, scheduling may take a little time due to high demand. If you call and we’re unable to slot you right away, please don’t be discouraged; we typically book at least a month ahead.

Your Impact Matters: Take a moment to consider the impact on your neighbors. While many of us may take food and daily necessities for granted, for some, it’s not that simple. By volunteering, you demonstrate how much you care, and there’s no better time to start than now.

Every Contribution Counts: Whatever you can give, big or small, we genuinely appreciate your efforts. Volunteering has the power to change lives, and after witnessing the operations at The Community Kitchen, we’re confident you’ll agree.
